What is harmful noise to our ears?

Harmful noise includes two categories:

● Continuous noise above 85 decibels (dB)

● Impulsive noise above 120 dB (such as a firecracker or an explosion)

Either category causes permanent hearing damage to ears. In order to measure the continuous noise, user needs Noise Dosimeter. However, for impulsive noise, user needs Impulsive Noise Meter:

In order to monitor safety of personal hearing, user also needs to see Health Text Message at the bottom of SoundMeter+. Also, if a display item is flashing, it means current environment is dangerous for hearing.
